A decision was taken a number of years ago that in order to maintain the fabric of the building the centre would be rented out to other groups, the income from this would help to pay for the up keep of the building. Clearly this is a balancing act since by having additioal users it adds to the wear and tear of the building and requires more cleaning. The design of the building means that it is only suitable for certain types of groups, for example there is very limited room for storage. At the current moment in time the room is being hired out to the maximum.
Agewell
Agewell is an organisation that provides support for the over 50's in the Sandwell area.
They use the centre to run keep fit sessions for the over 50's in the area.
Blackheath Asian Womens Group (EKTA)
This group meets regularly at the centre, they do not have a wesite of their own.
Membership is restricted you can get in touch with the group through this site.

The Forum takes place on the first Wednesday of the Month between 1pm to 3pm. The Line Dancing takes place the other Wednesdays of the month again between 1pm and 3pm. The Line Dancing costs £3 per week and new members are always welcome
Film Show
The centre in conjunction with Agewell has a monthly pop-up cinema event. This is the last Tuesday of the month starting at 1pm. The cost is only £3.
